ooh, poor sketchy kitty. :( your friend did the right thing, even though it was super hard. if i ever had to do the same for chet or the bunny, i would. *Hugs* i know sketch is crushing catnip plants in kittycat heaven. good kitty.
This is so hard. Just the other day (8 years ago), we lost all 3 of our cats within a 6 month period - they were 12, 18 and 20 years old! They will always have special places in our hearts. Now I take the time each day to spend a little while talking to and petting each of our 3 new feline family members. Cats are wonderful friends. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Thanks for all of your kind words. I finally dreamt about my kitty last night, it was nice to have him with me again. I feel like there is a big hole where he used to be but as long as he continues to visit me in my dreams I will forever be able to feel him near me.
Make sure to tell the people and animals that you love how much you love them every chance you get, you never know when it might be your last chance.
I feel blessed that I was able to hold him in my arms while he breathed his last breathe.
