Olivia Adeline! One month.
It's been a while, eh?
For anyone who has been out of the flickr/Facebook loop - guess what? We had a baby!

Born February 20. Weighing in at 8 pounds, 1 oz and measuring 20 inches long. She was born about a week and a half early.
And she's now 5 1/2 weeks old! Over a month! The time has really flown.
I will be posting a birth story once I can peel myself away from the lovely little bean long enough. Maternity leave is so short and I'm trying to get as much snuggle time as possible.
However! I missed the month recap deadline I had on my mind's to-do list.
Olivia. Livvy. Livvy Bean. Little Mittens. Loo Loo. Bean.
She is gorgeous. And she melded right into our family's particular brand of chaos without a hiccup. Well, with lots of hiccups, actually. She hiccuped a lot in my belly and she hiccups a lot now.
She smiles all the time when she's sleeping and she's just started smiling at us when she's awake, too. Big gummy dimpled gorgeous smiles. She has one dimple on the left and THREE on the right. I thought there were two on the right at first, but nope, three!
She also makes a funny cackling/giggling noise when she's sleepy and we move her or she moves. Aaron calls her "Goat Girl" because of the noise. It's very funny. I've brought her to work a few times to sit in on meetings and she sits in her little seat or in the sling and just cackles away while she sleeps. Very amusing. Not a sound I've heard any other baby make.
Sophie is over the moon about her. Lots of squeezes and kisses and Olivia is the first thing Sophie checks on in the morning. Sophie is also very gentle with her and cannot wait to share all her toys with her. ;) So she said yesterday, anyway...
We have Olivia sleeping in a cosleeper next to our bed. I had her in bed with us a bit at first because she had jaundice and we had to keep her wrapped in a biliblanket and it was a total pain in the ass to try and transfer all that to the cosleeper many times during the night. Now, however, she mostly wakes up one or two times in the middle of the night and it's easy to transfer her back. I want to get her used to it because it will be easier to have her in there when we stay over peoples' houses.
She seems to be a content little bean. And I'm sure I just jinxed things because we are heading into the 6 week growth spurt time. She snuggles and also likes to sit on us and hold her head up and look at us. Very inquisitive and funny faces. She's been working to hold her head up since she was born. Strong and determined little girl.
We are all thrilled with her and cannot wait to see how her personality develops.

More later. ;)
